In my humble opinion…It is just wrong that our world has chosen to celebrate “Earth Day” for the past 43 years at the cost of The True Creator. Many minds have become so depraved over the last century that we are more interested in worshiping the created than the Creator Himself. I do not and will not celebrate this holiday, nor will my children be indoctrinated into this way of thinking. The responsibility to rule over this earth was mandated to all men during creation week…far before “Earth Day” was ever thought of. I will praise Him, Who is my Lord, not mother earth.
I will give thanks to the Lord according to His righteousness
And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
You who fear the Lord, praise Him;
All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him,
And stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.
We will not conceal them from their children,
But tell to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,
And His strength and His wondrous works that He has done.
All glory and honor to God.
In His service

I agree, wholeheartedly, Joan. Isn’t it amazing that at the first Earth Day they were bemoaning the thought that another Ice Age was upon us? Then they went to “global warming.” Now, it’s “climate change.” The “new” environmentalists are actually the “old” communists.

Thank you for your history lesson there, Scott. You are right… as a kids the topic was the “Ice Age” and then the whole “global warming” thing. “Old Communists” scare me just a little. lol. ~Joan

While I don’t really care one way or another about Earth Day, I don’t really think that having a day dedicated to thinking about how we treat God’s creation is a bad thing. He may have given us dominion, but He didn’t tell us to destroy it. We are stewards, not owners. The owner will be back someday, and I don’t really want to tell him I didn’t do anything to look after it, do you?

Great point! I can’t wait for the owner to return!! I agree that each day we are on this earth should be a day of thanksgiving and over-all care for what we have been allowed to use. It does irritate me when I see folks being foolish with what is our responsibility. Thanks again for your thoughts~Joan
